Our Valentine's Day party was today. I told my students that we still had tons to do and if they wanted our party to start on time, they would have to work really hard through the morning. I also told them I didn't want to see any Valentines until our party.
Even after saying that, they all kept asking if they could just give me their gift. No! I don't want to see anything until we're done with what needs to get done!
As my students are working, J. comes up to me and asks, "Miss J., do you like cups?" Umm...? Are there people who hate cups?
"Yes, J. I drink out of cups daily. I love cups."
"Good."
J. gave me a mug for Valentine's Day. Good thing I don't hate cups!
