Love Month 2012, My First Class

I love...

when students from previous years remind me that I really am a good teacher and I do a lot of good in the lives of these kids.

This made my day!
If you haven't noticed, I have a really difficult class this year.  Before this year, teaching was my passion.  I loved every minute of it, even the horrible minutes.  But this year...  This year is different.

We had our first day of parent teacher conferences yesterday.  I finished quite early with mine and left.  When I came in today this awesomeness was on my white board.  "You will always be my favorite teacher. Your class was the BEST!! I love you tons!  You are amazing"  I left it up for two whole days so that I could be reminded that I am a good teacher and I am a good person even though none of my current students feel that way.  I also left it up to show my current students how much normal students like me.

Even teachers are people and we have feelings too.

Love Month 2012, 3rd Day in a Row

I love...

When lovely sisters bring me lunch because I'm too lazy to wake up early to make one myself.  Thanks, Coco

Love Month 2012 Day Something

I love...

When I come home to Husband washing the dishes.  Oh, happy day!  I've been putting that off so long we ran out of clean spoons.

I love...

when Husband says funny things in his sleep.  It doesn't happen too often but it always makes me laugh.

"Make sure you hit him hard enough that I don't get my arm cut off."  Classic.

Love Whenever I Feel Like It

Forget "Love Month."  This year it's going to be "whenever I get around to blogging I'll bring you something I love" month.  Deal?  That's what I thought.

I love...
this article.  I realize I have never ever been a parent (technically) but I hope to parent like the French.  My kids will have manners and boundaries and Husband and I will be in charge.

Love Month 2012

You thought I forgot.

I didn't.  I was just lazier yesterday than I am today.

So, to begin...

I love...

sweat pants...and putting them on almost as soon as I get home from work.

Don't worry...it's okay for me to be a slob now, I've been married for over a year.

For the record, Husband always tells me I look pretty...especially when I look like a truck.

MLK Jr.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power of love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."

Let Devin Name your Children

When my sister Devin was really little she liked weird names.  She would always say things like, "When I have a baby, I'm going to name him/her (insert crazy nonsense name)."

One of her favorite names?

That's right...Dingleberry.  She wanted to name her child Dingleberry.  Luckily, at 18, she has grown out of this phase.

Little Thoughts of My Day

1. Adolescent boys are STRANGE.  Case in point...This evening at Mutual, the boys decided to spin in circles until they threw up (which they did, all over the gym floor).  The best/strangest part of this is that they did it just to say they did it.  Bucket list?

2. There is something in the water in my ward.  We have two sets of multiples already (one set of twins and one set of triplets) and I just found out today that my friend Jessica is having twins in August.

3. I feel like I could get my acceptance letter from Hogwarts any day now each and every time I say "Xbox, next episode" and the Xbox immediately begins to play the next episode.

4. Random people who I don't see often fully believe I am pregnant.  Remember this and this?  Thanks.

5. I'm not ready to go back to school next week.

6. Martin Luther King Jr. was a great man and all schools (including those of the higher learning kind) should give their students MLKJ Day off.

Friend Quote Book

I decided to try to organize my house after I saw this lovely post on Pinterest.  As I was doing the January 4th to do, I found it...something we've been searching for...something we've missed dearly.  My friends, I found the Quote Book.

Instead of  continuing to declutter the top shelf of the closest, I read through the book.  Man!  The funny (semi-inappropriate and mostly dirty sounding) things people say out of context.  So, for your enjoyment (and because I never have anything interesting to blog about lately), the Quote Book:

Ryan: You owe me a baby!
Jenny: I don't owe you a baby.

Gabe: I did her.

Rich: It's really cold in my crotch.

Jenny: Wait.  What's something about your doodle?

Gabe: Do you like Who Whos?

Gabe: If mint is a weed, it's the best weed I've ever had.

Bryce: I still like a gaggle of peni.

Heidi: I didn't do it last night because I was wearing spacers!

Ryan: Does that say Canadian?

Ryan: Hey, Anthony!  What happened to your face?

Ryan: You know what my dad said to me the other day?  He wanted to name me Elmo.

Jaynee: Did you say buttskillet?

Jenny: Question mark.
Ashley: Answer mark.

Gabe: I thought you were an angel from my dreams.

Jayson: I didn't want to reach through Anthony's legs to grab the handle.
Ryan: Why not?  I do it all the time!

Jaynee: I'm pretty sure he's dating someone.
Gabe: Good because he was getting too close to me.

Jaynee: You're not a nice mom!  Who gives their babies noogies?

Jaynee:  I can't believe that mouthwash came out of my nose!

Jayson: 30% of all women could take advantage of me.

Jaynee:  Could you squeeze this 20 times for me?

Jaynee: I'll fluff your tree later.

Gabe: Why are you hitting on me like that?

Jenny: Don't brush his belly hair with that!

Jenny: No!  Don't stretch it out.  I'll just take it off.

Jayson (to Jenny): I will make you cry.
Jenny: I'll just massage myself.

Jaynee: This milk is...exquisite!

Jaynee: Man, I'm a lesbian.
Rich: Awww...You look cute.

Jaynee: But then all your wedding guests would have corn in their poop that night.

Jayson: Do you know what my tongue could do to your foot?
