A habit that you wish you didn’t have
My inability to really care if spaces that I don't share with anyone else are clutter free.
Here's proof:
One day when I get married I'm sure this horrible habit will stop because I will then share this space with someone. Until then, I'll try to care more.

Day 3--Blog Challenge
A picture of you and your friends
Very few of my pictures with friends actually have me in them. Maybe I should work on that.

My Apparent Doppelganger
This morning (okay, who am I kidding? It was the afternoon. I woke up in the afternoon today) I got up, took a shower, dressed and only blew my hair dry before going out into the rest of the house to start some cleaning. When my roommate saw me she said, "You look like Justin Bieber with your hair like that." I guess we've found my doppelganger. What do you think?
Sorry about the whole no make-up thing.
Day 2--Blog Challenge
The meaning behind your Blog title
My blog was called Ash J. forever. That was lame and lacked creativity. I always knew I wanted to change it but didn't know what to change it to. This lame name lasted about a year...ugh. I'm sorry!
Then inspiration struck. I had just had my hair dyed really red. I love red hair (and I love Rachel who makes my hair look fabulous. If you live in Utah and need someone A-MAZ-ING, let me know and I'll give you her info.). I loved my hair and I kept thinking about how I wished I was a true ginger...alas, I have to settle with being a semi-fake ginger (my hair naturally is strawberry blond...it's like a red-head dipped in bleach and left to dry in the summer sun). Having that in mind, I kept thinking of what my blog is mostly about...random stories from my life. Random Stories from a Wannabe Ginger didn't have the blog title quality I was looking for. I kept searching for other words that would work...thoughts, tales, anecdotes...nothing seemed right. Then it hit me...Musings of a Wannabe Ginger. I love it because it's sort of quirky and so much better than just my name.
I guess there is not much meaning behind it. It's just something I liked and went with.

The School Year Ended 11 Days Ago
My team and I met and planned for yesterday and today for 5 hours each day. I haven't even been off for two weeks yet and they're already making me do this? Really? Can't I have a few more days? I am not emotionally or mentally ready to do this yet.
I still need a nice, relaxing vacation before I'm ready for another year of hormone-laden twelve-year-olds...one in which someone else plans and pays for everything...any takers?

Day 1--Blog Challenge
A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself
1. I hate cheese. I'll only eat things with cheese if I can't taste the cheese. I think this is caused by the fact that when I was little I would eat A LOT of cheese all the time. My mom would put cheese in a cup, melt it in the microwave and I would eat it with a fork. Ewwww...I think I just vomited in my mouth just thinking about that.
2. I am a super huge wuss about most things. I don't do anything even remotely dangerous. If there is a chance that I will break a bone/die/receive a head injury/need stitches, I just don't do it. The other day when I went to Seven Peaks water park my friends talked me into going on a really tall water slide. After much nagging I finally manned up and went on a the slide. This slide to be exact:
9. I had never broken a bone until I was an idiot last year.
10. I really like working out but I like sleeping even more.
11. When I was in 2nd grade, my favorite TV shows were Full House and Saved By the Bell. These shows were on at 5 and 5:30 on different channels. One day at 5:30 I switched channels to watch the other one and all I saw were the ending credits. My little 7 year old self died a little that day. I had to make a choice between my two favorite shows. My life would never be the same.
12. When I write blog entries I read and re-read them until they sound perfect in hopes that someone laughs at the things I say. It makes me way too happy when friends comment that my blog made them laugh.
13. I have completely forgotten how to go to bed before midnight.
14. I love crafting blogs, especially sewing blogs. I keep finding amazing things that I need to make and then I remember that I don't have the patience to sew.
15. I have a love hate relationship with being tickled. I love the feeling but I hate the fact that I can't breathe and the feeling that I think I could die at any moment. But then the tickling stops and I start thinking, "That was actually enjoyable."
Me and Amanda. She teaches with me. This is the day of our 6th graders vs. teachers kick ball game.

This slide to be exact:
This was a huge deal for me. I have NEVER done one of these slides even though I've been to a lot of water parks. But here's the funny/interesting thing about this: see how there is a tube at the top of the picture? This section is completely horizontal. If you don't give yourself a HUGE push, you stop in the middle of the tube and then have to pull yourself along. I had to push myself along for quite a while. When I finally got to the end of the tube my legs were uncrossed and I started falling. Oh geez. I have never had so much fabric up my butt. Lesson learned: when people tell you to keep your legs together, it's for your own good.
3. If I had the confidence and the ability, my dream job would be stand-up comedian. What a great job, right? Getting paid to make people laugh? I do that for free now.
4. My toes look like they were spare parts from other people and when I was made all those parts were just thrown on my feet.
5. My favorite show is How I Met Your Mother.
6. I describe things by how they smell. Things usually smell like holidays. I often come into a room and say something like, "It smells like Halloween in here." I know, weird.
7. I am very sensitive to strong odors and most scented things (lotions, perfume, body odor, lake stink) make me sick to my stomach. I will only use unscented lotion because of this.
8. When I was about 3 years old, I thought my whole name was Ashley Murray Park because I would go to a park called Murray Park with my grandma almost every day. My actual middle name is Marie (which kind of sounds like Murray if you're 3 years old). My grandma also had a friend with the last name Park so this name made complete sense in my 3 year old mind.

Birthday Celebration in a Trunk
Dane's birthday is today. We celebrated by going to Seven Peaks (and getting an atomic wedgie by water slide) yesterday.
Jaynee and I thought it would be a great idea to bake Dane a cake and celebrate the crap out of his birthday.
Things I learned...I don't go to bars for a reason. Ewwwww....sick. I prefer to breathe clean air and not be groped by drunk men. Birthday parties from here on out will not include bars of any kind.

That says DANE...Not DAHE. It's difficult to write with frosting, okay.
We even decorated our house.
What a happy surprise this will be when Dane comes!
We even had noise makers!
Dane never showed up to our house like he was supposed to. He went straight to the Huka Bar to watch the band. We had to rearrange so that we could still celebrate.
Decorated trunk? Check.
Surprising Dane with a trunk full of balloons, streamers and cake? Check, check, check. (Sorry about the blurriness...I was not really paying attention to the pictures I was taking and this is the only one I got of Dane.)

Movie Under the Stars
My friends and I went to the state capitol building to watch a movie under the stars. The movie was Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde. The movie was not good...it never was but the company was fabulous.
After the movie we decided to try and throw each other up in a blanket. This resulted in hysterical laughter and bruised bums.

This is actually one of the most terrifying things I've done in a while. Why do we do this to small children?

Verbal Blogging Vomit Stops Here
I haven't blogged in days. My interest is waning again. I'm sorry I'm not more interesting.
In earlier times on this blog, I got all invasive with myself...that sounded dirty. That was not what I meant. What I'm trying to say is that I spilled my guts to the faceless people who stumble across my blog. It was like verbal vomit all over the internet. I was okay with that. I'm not one to really hide too much. But now that my life involves a lot more people, I don't feel as comfortable spilling everything.
I guess I'm worried that these people will also stumble across my blog, get upset that I shared our lives with anonymous strangers, and never want to see me again. I don't want that. I like these people and want them in my life forever.
It's weird though because there is so much I want to say. So much that would be so interesting to read (maybe. Maybe that's just my narcissism talking). So again, I'm sorry. Keep checking back. Maybe these friends will be okay with me spilling everything. Maybe I'll ask them. Have a great Tuesday!

Field Day
Do you remember field day as an elementary student? I know I had them but I can't remember anything about them. I'm sure they were fun and I'm sure I looked forward to them but the memory of them are lost in the great abyss that is early-life memories. I guess that's what your mind does 14-20 years later...dumps the less important memories to make room for more important stuff like home addresses, birthdays, and social security numbers.
Today was field day at my school. I have been looking forward to this and the 6th graders vs. teachers kick ball game all. freaking. year.
My plan was to just watch and supervise (like a good teacher). My students' plans were much different. Within 2 minutes of field day starting, I was soaking wet. Once I realized my underwear were never going to dry, I decided to live it up. I slip 'n slid-ed my way into my students memories, dumped buckets of water on sixth graders who drive me crazy, and let 6th graders talk me into going into the dunk tank.
Yes, I was the LAST person in the school to go in and was totally disgusted by the state of the water (500+ kids in a small pool of water = some sort of water-born disease) but it made the kids happy and I guess that's what it's about, right?
P.S. The 6th grade vs. teacher game was Wednesday afternoon...teachers dominated again...14 to 3. Silly 6th graders thinking they could ever win.
