Year of Tate: Day 30

January 30, 2014

Tate has had a nagging cough for a while now but I never took him in because it didn't seem to bother him.  Yesterday he woke up with a horrible cough, runny nose and scratchy throat.  I took him to the doctor today.
These breathing treatments are not fun.  I was only able to hold him like this after the nurse brought him a sucker.  We should have thought of that before.

Year of Tate: Day 29

January 29, 2014

Awesome mom? Horrible mom?  I'm still unsure but I was just happy Tate was eating something.

Year of Tate: Day 27

January 27, 2014

We've been teaching Tate how to kiss with his mouth closed.  He is now obsessed but also wants a round of applause each time he does it.

Year of Tate: Day 26

January 26, 2014

Husband took Tate in the bedroom to put him down for  a nap.  After he didn't come out for a while I began to wonder what was going on.  I peeked into the bedroom to find this.

Best nap Tate has taken in a long time.

Year of Tate: Day 25

January 25, 2014

Tate loves when his dad comes home from work.  This night he thought it was hilarious to stick his head inside of Dad's shirt.  Believe me, it was funny.  This picture doesn't do it justice.

Year of Tate: Day 24

January 24, 2014

I showed Tate how pockets work.  He spent the next 10 minutes walking around like this.

Year of Tate: Day 23

January 23, 2014

Oh, man.  This kid is getting into everything! Tonight, I was making dinner and Tate was being good and entertaining himself.  It was bliss.  Then he started making long "mmmm" sounds.  I find him with an open jar of fake Nutella.  When did he learn to open jars?  Ugh.

Year of Tate: Day 22

January 22, 2014

Tate has learned to open the fridge at our house.  Let me tell you how fun that is.  Oh, wait.  It's not!

While at my mom's today he tried to open her fridge.
Her's is way more difficult to open.  So trying to open the fridge ended in a slight tantrum.  It's difficult being almost 17 months old.

Year of Tate: Day 20

January 20, 2014

Tate is loving eating apples.  He refuses to let me cut them up and if I do he won't even touch them.  He eat the entire apple.

This is what the apple usually ends up looking like:

Year of Tate: Day 19

January 19, 2014

Tate learned how to open our computer recently.  I left for one minute and this is what I came back to:

He thinks he's pretty cool.

Year of Tate: Day 18

January 18, 2014

Tate is beginning to throw tantrums.  They're pretty funny right now and usually end with a kick of the right foot.

Year of Tate: Day 17

January 17, 2014

Someone likes cookie butter a little more than expected.

Year of Tate: Day 16

January 16, 2014

Tate's definition of "helping" is much different than mine.

Year of Tate: Day 15

January 15, 2014

Another favorite game of Tate's: Screen Face!  He pulls the lint screen out of the dryer and smashes his face into it.  Unfortunately, he was too quick to actually get a picture of his smashed face.

Year of Tate: Day 14

January 14, 2014

The little was way too cute today to only post one picture.

My sister Devin really wanted Tate to wear her beanie and a hip chain I was donating.  Tate's only stipulation was that he got to hold her phone.  Win win.

This picture was after Tate helped me make bread by dumping a cup of flour on himself then proceeding to rubbing it all over the counter and himself.  He finished by licking up the flour and trying to tell me how good it was.  This is his new smile he gives if you ask him to smile.

And lastly, he was spinning on this bar stool and thought he was the coolest baby ever.

Year Of Tate: Day 13

January 13, 2014

Today was full of lots of fake crying.  I was hoping to get his fake sad face in a picture but it just looks like a real sad face.  I'm not a bad mom.  Pictures are just bad at conveying how incredibly fake this crying is.
