Baby Girl: 10 Months

This month Brynn has started crawling much better and with a lot more purpose. She has 3 teeth on top and is getting one more. She went in for her first dentist appointment today and the dentist was impressed with how happy and sweet she was despite his fingers being in her mouth and having a tooth that is almost coming in. Brynn recently started tantruming. The tantrums are nothing horrible but that's the best word I have for what she does. She has started to throw her head and body backward if she is upset while being held. If she's upset and on the floor, she puts her forehead on the floor and has one good sob then either decides she's over it and sits back up or isn't over it and continues to cry while scooting her forehead along the ground. At this point it's quite funny and cute but we'll see how I feel about her tantrums in a few months.

Happy 10 Months, Baby Girl!

Weight: About 19 pounds  

Height: About 27 inches
Clothing Size: 9-12 months, some 6-9 month still fit
Diaper Size: In cloth diapers but would be in size 3   
Milestones: Crawling everywhere, waving bye-bye, 3 new teeth (right central incisor--June 30, Left central incisor--July10, left lateral incisor--July 11), starting to balance while standing for a few seconds.
Eating: Nursing around 6am, eats breakfast about an hour later. Mostly just wants real food and doesn't nurse well during the day but still nurses right before bed.
Sleeping: She usually naps 2 times a day (sometimes 3 if she wakes up really early in the morning). These naps are generally 2 hours, unless interrupted by a screaming brother, she will sometimes sleep even longer than that. Her night-time sleeping has been horrible. She sleeps in about 2-3 hour spurts at night then wakes up crying and cannot get herself back to sleep. Nothing soothes her except nursing. I've tried to get her to take a binki but she won't take it, it just turns into a chew toy. This 2-3 hour spurt goes on throughout the night. She is usually sleeping by 7:30pm and wakes up for real between 6:30 and 7:30.
Communication: Lots of dada, yelling, gets really talkative when she's tired, blowing raspberries, lots of jabbering, says "bu-bu" while waving goodbye
Nicknames: Brynners, Baby Brynn, Brynnie 

*Tate 10 month update

Baby Girl: 9 Months

Holy cow. Brynn is a mover now. She wants to be crawling and climbing all over everything. She's still very happy and rarely cries unless provoked. She's a great eater and wants to try all our food. She's starting to feed herself finger foods but it's still quite difficult for her.

Milestones: Real crawling when it's not easy or is uncomfortable to drag herself across the ground. Pulling herself to standing on EVERYTHING. Going up stairs. Clapping.  
Eating: Brynn usually wakes up around 6 or 7am and nurses then will eat breakfast about an hour later. I want her to continue to want to nurse but she seems less and less interested. When she sees food she bounces around and grunts and reaches for it. Starting to feed herself. Eating everything.

*Tate's 9 month update

Baby Girl: 8 Months

Oh, Baby Brynn! Seriously, this stage of babyhood is just the shiz. Brynn is generally happy, eats like she hasn't eaten in days (when in reality she ate 4 hours--or less--ago), takes great naps, goes to sleep easily and is just the coolest.

Brynn got sick (Side note: Projectile baby vomit is the weirdest thing you'll see) a few days after we got back from Mexico. All she wanted to do was sleep and be close to me, poor baby!

We went to the park and she loved swinging.

She also loved digging in the sand.

We went to her baby best friend's first birthday party.

She's started pulling herself up, though she's not very good at it and she forgets she needs to hold on to something and falls.

Happy 8 Months, Baby Girl!

Milestones: Getting up on her knees and bouncing back and forth. Inch-worming (on her knees, reaches out hands and pulls her self forward). Trying to pull herself up to standing. She can occasionally do it by herself but usually needs some help.
Eating: Brynn usually wakes up around 6 or 7am and nurses then will eat baby food for breakfast around 8/8:30. At lunch she'll eat baby food again and kind of nurse, same for dinner then right before bed I try to nurse her again but she is often not very interested.
Sleeping: Usually naps 2 times a day for about 1.5-2 hours each, occasionally longer. Since we returned from our trip to Mexico, Brynn has been sleeping horribly. She wakes up at least 2 times a night and having her in the same room as us makes it really difficult for me to ignore her long enough that she'll go back to sleep. I really need to get her back on her sleeping schedule!
Communication: Still yells just to hear herself yell, tries to mimick Tate which usually turns into a screaming contest, blowing raspberries, lots of jabbering, makes "ha ha" noises and sounds a lot like Nelson from The Simpsons.
Nicknames: Baby Girl, Brynners, Baby Brynn, Brynnie, Pumpkin Butt (no reason on that one, it just comes out sometimes)

Baby Girl: 7 Months

Brynn is becoming very vocal, she's trying really hard to crawl and she's eating just about anything we give to her.

We went to the zoo and Brynn was thoroughly unimpressed with the carousel.

She was also unimpressed with the selection at RC Wiley

She really enjoyed being outside and I really enjoyed this outfit on her.

She sat up in the tub for the first time...she's still a bit wobbly though so I just sit her up to wash her hair.

Watching Tate dye Easter eggs.

She had fun playing with her Easter Beanie Baby that is definitely not going to make her mom rich now because the tags are gone (gasp!)

She was so tired at the end of the day on Easter. All those guests + teething she had just had enough by the time dinner rolled around.

Learning to use a sippy cup by herself.

Chili for dinner was a big hit.

She started rolling to actually get places and was always getting stuck.

She tried blackberries for the first time and was so into them.

First taste of honeydew at Great Grandma's birthday lunch...she was a big fan.

She started trying to crawl. She only bounces back and forth right now but she's getting there.

Happy 7 Months, Baby Girl!

Weight: About 18 pounds
Height: About 25 inches
Clothing Size: 6-9 months, some 9-12 months 
Diaper Size: In cloth diapers but would be in size 2 
Milestones: Getting up on her knees and bouncing back and forth. Inch-worming (on her knees, reaches out hands and pulls her self forward). Two bottom teeth popped through around April 14th. Doing better with a bottle and will usually take it, she even takes a bottle from me occasionally.
Eating: Brynn usually wakes up around 6 or 7am and nurses then will eat baby food for breakfast around 8/8:30. At lunch she'll eat baby food again and kind of nurse, same for dinner then right before bed I try to nurse her again but she is often not very interested.
Sleeping: Usually still naps 3 times a day for about 1.5-2 hours each. She will only nap in her crib so if we are out she often misses a nap but still manages to stay pretty happy. Night sleeping has been a bit rough lately because she's teething and had an ear infection but she worked things out and is back on her 9 hour stretches at night. She was waking up about 2 times a night screaming and could only be soothed by nursing. Luckily she seems to be feeling much better and doesn't need those multiple feedings any more.
