Baby Girl: 7 Months

Brynn is becoming very vocal, she's trying really hard to crawl and she's eating just about anything we give to her.

We went to the zoo and Brynn was thoroughly unimpressed with the carousel.

She was also unimpressed with the selection at RC Wiley

She really enjoyed being outside and I really enjoyed this outfit on her.

She sat up in the tub for the first time...she's still a bit wobbly though so I just sit her up to wash her hair.

She had fun playing with her Easter Beanie Baby that is definitely not going to make her mom rich now because the tags are gone (gasp!)

She was so tired at the end of the day on Easter. All those guests + teething she had just had enough by the time dinner rolled around.

Learning to use a sippy cup by herself.

Chili for dinner was a big hit.

She started rolling to actually get places and was always getting stuck.

She tried blackberries for the first time and was so into them.

First taste of honeydew at Great Grandma's birthday lunch...she was a big fan.

She started trying to crawl. She only bounces back and forth right now but she's getting there.

Happy 7 Months, Baby Girl!

Weight: About 18 pounds
Height: About 25 inches
Clothing Size: 6-9 months, some 9-12 months 
Diaper Size: In cloth diapers but would be in size 2 
Milestones: Getting up on her knees and bouncing back and forth. Inch-worming (on her knees, reaches out hands and pulls her self forward). Two bottom teeth popped through around April 14th. Doing better with a bottle and will usually take it, she even takes a bottle from me occasionally.
Eating: Brynn usually wakes up around 6 or 7am and nurses then will eat baby food for breakfast around 8/8:30. At lunch she'll eat baby food again and kind of nurse, same for dinner then right before bed I try to nurse her again but she is often not very interested.
Sleeping: Usually still naps 3 times a day for about 1.5-2 hours each. She will only nap in her crib so if we are out she often misses a nap but still manages to stay pretty happy. Night sleeping has been a bit rough lately because she's teething and had an ear infection but she worked things out and is back on her 9 hour stretches at night. She was waking up about 2 times a night screaming and could only be soothed by nursing. Luckily she seems to be feeling much better and doesn't need those multiple feedings any more.
Communication: Still yells just to hear herself yell, blowing raspberries, lots of jabbering

*Tate's 7 month update

Baby Girl: 6 Months

I forgot how enjoyable this stage of babyhood is...Brynn is happy, interactive and her personality is beginning to come out. 

Brynn had a cold at the beginning of this month and woke up a few days in a row with boogers all over her face. This was one of the tamer days.

She read while shopping at Sam's Club

She wakes up so happy.

First time swinging and she was unimpressed.

She loves her bouncer and only occasionally smacks herself in the face with that sun.

She is our little garbage disposal. Tate didn't finish something that is baby food? Brynn will finish it. Even though the picture looks like she's in pain, she really enjoyed it.

St. Patrick's Day

She started sitting...

...so we sat her in a cart.

 

Brynn got soaking wet in the water table at The Museum of Natural Curiosity.

We had our first real food fail...mashed potatoes. Pretty sure it was just he lumps that threw her off.

She looked precious sitting in her homemade moccasins.

Happy 6 Months, Baby Girl!

Weight: 16 pounds 4 ounces
Height: 26 inches

Milestones: Sitting up, eating more real food, Possibly beginning to get teeth (wants to chew on anything and everything)
Eating: Eats every 4-5 hours during the day, Eats veggies and fruit at breakfast and before bed (and sometimes lunch if we're home and I'm being on top of things) and tries any soft food we eat throughout the day  
Sleeping: Naps 3 times a day for about 2 hours each and sleeps through the night from about 9pm-6am. After she wakes for a feeding around 6am she usually goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours.
Communication: Babbles all day, cries when needs something, coos when happy (after feedings/diaper changes)

 *Tate's 6 month update

Baby Girl: 5 Months

I feel like Brynn has really gone from a baby-baby to just a kinda-baby this month. She's getting to be a little more independent and will play with toys for a few minutes by herself. She will sit in the high chair and watch me cook or clean and be pretty content.

She still continues to be a very happy and content baby. She is very tolerant of the aggressive love that Tate gives her on a regular basis.

She has been eating vegetables for a couple weeks now and has loved everything she's tried--butternut squash, green beans, and sweet potatoes. She also eats oatmeal really well.

She immediately rolls from her back to her stomach and it pushing herself up on her hands. She may be getting into a crawling position soon...but hopefully it will be a while before she actually starts moving.

She did not enjoy her first bubble bath. It might have been the fact that she kept slipping off that bath chair and almost drowning though.

She started using her bouncer and she loves it...except when Tate grabs that big yellow sun, pulls it back as far as he can and it slams into her little face.

She is the greatest eater EVER. At least in the "children I've given birth to" category.

She is a rolling machine. She rolls to her stomach as soon as she is put down on her back.

Her chub is taking over.

Milestones: Rolling from back to stomach, eating solids (vegetables and oatmeal)
Eating: Eats every 3 to 4 hours during the day, has one serving of veggies and one serving of oatmeal every day.  
Sleeping: Naps 3 times a day for about 2 hours each and sleeps through the night from about 9pm-6am. After she wakes for a feeding around 6am she usually goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours.
Communication: cries when hungry or needs a diaper change; babbles all the time, especially when tired or getting a diaper change.

*Tate's 5 month update

Baby Girl: 4 Months

Brynn's personality is really starting to come out. She is a very happy little girl and rarely cries. When she does cry she has a good reason (needs a diaper change or feeding, Tate is loving on her a little too much, she's tired...). Because of this awesome personality trait, I'm quite okay with her refusing a binki. She eats and sleeps like a champion. She takes 3-4 two-hour naps a day and sleeps from 9pm to 6am pretty regularly. Please don't think we are just lucky. Though she's a great baby we did have to work really hard to get her to sleep so well. She loves watching Tate from a distance.
 
This month we spent some time in Montana visiting Courtney. Brynn loved having another baby to talk to and laugh with.

She started getting super chubby. Look at those rolls!

She started holding her head up much better during tummy time and she has rolled a few times.

She is loving chewing on her fingers and often does it while sleeping (if she isn't swaddled well enough).

Communication: cries when hungry or needs a diaper change, talks a lot when other people are close to her.

Most Memorable Moment(s): Laughed for the first time while on vacation in Montana. Reaching for toys. Giggling when tickled.
